Jeeves watched Blitz go, pleased that he had taken his advice. However, he didn't dwell on it too much. He had quite a bit of chores to do, and unless he wanted Aveline to lock him in the room under the stairs again, he had better do them before she got home.
Upstairs, idly toying with his sweater's drawstrings, laying down in the closet, Nobody stared up at his multitude of sweaters. He had just closed his eyes when he suddenly heard Blitz's voice, which caused him to jolt into a sitting position. He scooted away from the source of the other's voice, but stopped when he heard what the other actually had to say. After a moment of embarrassment, he quietly slipped out from the closet, pausing to put on a new hoodie before he exited the room. He looked up at Blitz, then nodded before sheepishly looking down again. "Okay," he shyly agreed, wishing he had ended up showering. He just felt so dirty, even though he had showered the night before. "I can uh, I can show you... um... Stuff, just uh, let's um, go," he said as he led Blitz downstairs.
He held the front door open for the other, giving him his first real glimpse of Maelstrom.
Outside, a blue, checkerboard sky greeted them, along with green grass that seemed to die off the closer it came to an ominous black house in the distance - Dark's house. It seemed to reach up into the sky, seemingly never-ending as it twisted and curled up towards the heavens. To the left of it was a massive forest, ominous. Above it, flocks of birds constantly circled the trees, and a foul, but very faint stench seemed to come from deep within it. Unfortunately, that was the first place Nobody pointed to.
"W-Want to uh, go see the fields? I uh, there's a lot of um, stuff... I could show you the uh, the river," he offered. The forest was his favorite place in all of Maelstrom, even if certain parts of it reeked of rotting meat. The reflechi, as dangerous as they were, never failed to make him feel good about himself when he caught sight of them, and even the birds weren't so bad once you got on their good side.
