Name: Bartholomew Nickname: One-Eye, Bart, Mew Age: Unknown Gender: Male {will sometimes refer to himself as a lady or female, however} Species: Feline {Cyclops} Ethnicity: Unknown Height: 3' 2" Weight: Average Orientation: He doesn't even know. also probably doesn't care. Occupation: Homeless, none.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Bartholomew doesn't wear clothing; aside from the purple collar and bell around his neck. He's an all around simple creature. He stands at 3' 2", and is at an average weight. He is a black-furred feline, with fur of a medium length. He has two tails, rather than one-- and only one large, bright blue eye. He has no markings aside from the two white spots above his eye.
PERSONALITY Confused, always. Bartholomew has a failing memory, and constantly forgets. He doesn't know how to act in public, and appears to completely lack any social mannerisms. Even when taught, it's likely that he will forget in the next few hours, maybe the next day. He has to be constantly reminded, and will constantly ask questions. Bartholomew can easily forget people, his own name, where he is, and his own gender amongst many other things. Things-- especially electronics-- are always new to him, and the world is an exciting, and terrifying place for the little guy! However, aside from his failing memory banks, Bartholomew is generally friendly and submissive. Even when provoked or angered, the feline will simply keep his head down and his tails between his legs. And then he will soon forget about why he was mad in the first place. Having a bad memory isn't all that bad, though. Bartholomew will quickly forget bad things-- anything that makes him upset, sad, mad, or depressed, is flushed out in time. A day, at the most; ten minutes, at the least. Unfortunately, the happy things often go out, too. Though they last longer, it doesn't take him long to completely forget acts of kindness, or even a friend he might have met. The one-eyed feline doesn't appear to know he has a memory problem, which may be why he's so enthusiastic everyday for a new adventure. A new adventure he will promptly forget completely, and relive the next day. However, certain things can trigger Bartholomew's memory to come back to him, if only for a fleeting moment. When this happens, he appears generally startled, and may become saddened, upset, and mad. Because he doesn't want to forget anything or anyone anymore. But he knows he will, and sometimes he will actually seek a cure for his memory. But don't worry, he'll forget again soon enough.
PERSONAL HISTORY He doesn't remember. He has simply existed. He doesn't remember having family, nor does he remember his own childhood, or even how old he is. But since he couldn't tell you, I'll give you a bit to go off of. The one-eyed cat grew up in a small forest community that was, unknowingly, plagued by radioactive materials; whether this has anything to do with his 'mutations', or whether he was simply born that way, is up to you. He has always had a memory problem, as far as anyone who knew him is concerned. His failing memory has caused him to lose many friends, due to impatience on their part, and perhaps a lack of friendly intimacy because of the fact that, after a fun day, he would forget everything. Including the friend. Obviously, one day he left the little forest community, and found himself in a small city, where he now resides. He often takes to sleeping in alleyways, under bridges-- wherever he can-- and doesn't seem to mind eating from the trash, or even catching his own meals. Maybe one day he'll move on, but for now, he'll continue to have 'new' repeated adventures in the city. So much to do. So much to forget. |
