Name: Vedere (Ve-deer)
Nickname: Verde (Verdeh)
Age: >60 yrs. old
Gender: Male
Species: Consciousness stored in mechanical body (Part of Project T.A.P. - Technologically Augmented Person)
Height: 5'6
Weight: 200 lbs.
Orientation: Depends.
Universe: Felicium
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Permanent: Odd "heart"-shaped mouth with yellow teeth. Although his mouth changes shape, it never actually opens. His eyes are dark slits which can light up if he needs them to. His hands are composed of three flat fingers and a sharp index finger and thumb, for convenience's sake. He wears "headphones" which allow him to listen to either his private communication channels with other officers/his underlings, radio channels, private calls, etc.
Commando: Exoskeleton only with sling full of pockets around shoulder in order to carry whatever he needs (e.g. holopad, MIRAGE V.6, etc.). He wears a beret with two yellow stripes, and Felicium's insignia is on his knees, elbows, crotch and his "headphones". His exoskeleton is very durable, and his "shoes" are made so that they make as little noise as possible. With his MIRAGE, he has the ability to go invisible for certain periods of time. He also possesses a sort of holographic disguiser, which gives him the appearance of whoever he chooses. The disguise, or mirage, if you will, vanishes upon contact, however.
Refined: He wears a green button-up coat, which buttons up to the side. His headphones and hat remain. He also wears some plain, dark green slacks and polished black shoes. Sometimes he'll wear a short cape, mostly for ceremonies. Unlike Karl and Cifre, he does not wear badges/medals on the outside of any of his uniforms.
PERSONALITY
Since Vedere was one of the first to join Project T.A.P., some believe he may have had something rattled around in his head. He does not pick up on certain things easily, and has some odd quirks. When it comes to talking people, if he is on a recon mission, he can read them like a book. But if it's during normal conversation, he has a lot of trouble picking up social cues. As a result, he cannot, for example, understand jokes. Because of this, he isn't a very good leader. He's good at giving his underlings orders, but not leading people. He works solo most of the time, and when he doesn't, he usually pairs up with Cifre, who pilots most of the drones he sends out. He's a control-freak, truth be told, which is another reason why he's not a good leader. Vedere rarely smiles, and actually grimaces most of the time (not intentionally, however). He's very methodical, and does not adjust to change easily unless he's out on the field.
When it comes to relationships with others, Vedere's closest ally is Commander Cifre, who is head of Felicium's airborne armada. He tolerates Officer 'Benny' Bene, but is not too friendly with him since he doesn't particularly like how 'cutesy' and spastic he can be (even if it's all for show). Vedere's least favorite officer is General Karl. It all started with a few jokes, which Vedere naturally didn't understand and took offense to. This progressed until his controlling nature conflicted with Karl's, and although the two don't want to kill each other or anything, they don't get along very well at all.
With these tumultuous relationships, the officers are very limited in who they can date and fraternize with. No-one wants any business with Project T.A.P.'s creations, and so, as a result they essentially have to go to each other for their company, or go to no-one at all.
PERSONAL HISTORY
Not much is known about Vedere. He keeps many things a secret, including his past. However, it is known that he was a scientist before he entered the military, and he was one of the key helpers in the development of Project T.A.P. There have been rumors that he was FORCED to participate, but he, himself, has dispelled them by saying he voluntarily joined.
That was over sixty years ago. He is the oldest of the officers, though no-one knows his true age. When he first began his service in the military, he worked in communications, mainly in receiving and sending out hidden messages. However, after aiding in a particularly dangerous mission against the Unhappy gangs, he was promoted. It wasn't until he saved the king's life that he was promoted to Commander, however, and there he remained despite attempts to take over his position by other Project T.A.P. recruits.
Now, after the promotion of Karl's son, Mortimer, to become Vedere's SIC, he is hard at work planning a raid against the various gangs of the Unhappy gangs (e.g. the 1-10 gang, the Sharktooth gang, etc.), who are becoming restless and not only threatening the people of the Unhappy side, but the Happy side as well.
