Nickname: Lo, Nurse, Sir Lon, Sir Brisk
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Species: Rhinoceros Beetle
Height: 6'4
Weight: 220 lbs
Orientation: Not too sure (thanks a lot, William )
Occupation: Knight, occasionally works with William as his assistant - or 'nurse'
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Tall, built, and chiseled, Lon's appearance often has women swooning over him. He has a small 'beard' on his chin and a horn, though in reality, both are made of the same hard material as the shell hidden away on his back. But, as the small, but permanent cut on his cheek subtly indicates, he's a lot less healthy than he seems. When he was younger, his second set of arms atrophied due to an accident, and it wasn't until William amputated them that he finally got rid of them. Not only that, but one of his wings, unfortunately, was cut in half during a battle, leaving him flightless. Lon doesn't mind, though.
PERSONALITY
Unlike his brother, Ros, Lon isn't cynical at all. Like a puppy, he believes in the best possible outcome for things - until he's kicked away. Then, he bites back. But outside of combat, he's rather docile. He loves children (well, most of them), and enjoys helping others. As a result, people know they can count on him to do things. He's also fiercely loyal and a bit clingy at times.
Because of his training, Lon's also good at following orders, though he tends to daydream a bit, leading to retributions from his superiors (such as the one that caused the cut on his cheek).
Some people also might call him a sheep, since he's easily swayed by others' opinions and actions. There are some things, however, that he won't change his mind about, such as certain concepts of honor, loyalty, etc.
PERSONAL HISTORY
After a siege left him and his brother Ros orphans, the two brothers were taken in at a very young age - (Ros was 8, Lon was 4) by one of the knights who had come to free their town. Though the man soon grew to be their father in their eyes, his harsh punishments also reminded them that they were also his apprentices, not just family. When they finally managed to earn their titles as knights, the brothers bid farewell to the man and departed to separate, but neighboring kingdoms, where they each served different royalty. Since then, Lon has remained a valuable member of the court, though for some reason, he and his brother have slowly become estranged. He isn't sure why, though he has an inkling it's because of their conflicting personalities.
Lon and the doctor came to be acquaintances, then friends, when Lon "saved" William from a "monster" in a cave. Though William has since clarified that the "monster" was NOT a monster at all, Lon still insists that it was. Since their meeting, Lon has helped William out whenever he comes to visit, whether it be with a surgery or simply carrying his things. They enjoy each other's company, though Lon doesn't like the way the doctor's affections wander very much.
