PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Made up of two distinct forms, both of whom are able to alternate between acting in unison and acting on their own, Naegleria is, nevertheless, a single lifeform. It possesses one mind, though its organs are spread about over its form, which is covered by a hard exoskeleton that protects the aforementioned organs. Though its silhouette continuously shifts, Naegleria primarily remains in one form - the form pictured above.
PERSONALITY
Though it had been a brilliant and inquisitive mind in its youth, greed and ambition transformed Naegleria from a mild-mannered scientist into an avaricious poacher who would stop at nothing to make a bit of money. Ruthless, impassive, Naegleria behaves more like a robot than anything. It denies its captives the most basic of needs in order to squeeze a bit more income out of its 'business' and mistreats them, albeit indirectly. Nevertheless, it has managed to brainwash quite a few of its slaves, who think of it as a sort of a godlike entity - omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent.
When not involved in its moneymaking schemes, Naegleria tends to its unsatiable appetite (which has become a sort of ominous legend around its slaves, some of whom claim it has devoured unruly captives in a fit of anger).
Though many make out Naegleria to be an animal, the smarts it possessed in its youth still remain, allowing it to not only invent incredible things, but to steal others' things as well.
PERSONAL HISTORY
There is very little about Naegleria's history that is known to the public, but one thing is for certain: not only has Naegleria brought about the destruction of several planets, including that of the Glotta (and currently the Atomos), but it has also brought about the destruction of its own planet and most of its inhabitants, leaving it as the sole survivor of its kind. This, in turn, has allowed it to become the Archcyte, or 'High Cell' - an honor bestowed usually upon the best upon his planet, but now bestowed upon it because, simply put, it's the only one left. Currently, it roams through space, picking off weakened species and selling them at extravagant prices for their scarcity. It is in the middle of a war against the Atomos, who are made up of precious elements Naegleria seeks to harvest and sell.
Though the public doesn't know much, there is a verbal account on Naegleria from its former friend and current archnemesis, one of the Atomos it seeks to make extinct: Hydros.
HYDROS' PERSPECTIVE (Translated by Verdell)
'My earliest memory of Naegleria? It would have to be our first [science] fair. We gathered about, showing off our respective inventions. I won, that evening, and when we returned to our own planets, I remembered feeling a distinct sense of... [envy] from him. He seemed as happy as could be, however, and wouldn't stop congratulating me, so I thought little of it.
I see now, the error of my ways.
As the years passed, and Naegleria's number of failures grew, so did his envy. It all culminated into a night I will never forget: The Millenial Convocation. As per usual, we gathered with our respective inventions. There was an air of excitement, of nervous anticipation, and yet, the only thing I could think of was of Naegleria's absence from our ranks. I asked and asked, but no-one seemed to have any idea of where he was. Then, the bandits attacked.
They ransacked everything. My [teleporter], Fluo's [food-maker?], Pheris' [concealer] -- everything. We, meek scientists, could do little to stop them. We were unarmed - not that that would have mattered. They had placed some sort of [forcefield?] over the ship. It seemed to block out any sort communication and any sort of device from working. We were helpless, and so, we were forced to watch as the bandits made off with our priceless inventions.
I had no reason to suspect Naegleria. He was my friend, my comrade, my ally.
Which is why I don't understand why he would do such a thing. Why he would do any of this! That blasted [devil] must have had some sort of chemical imbalance to do this! Why--

'As I was saying, Naegleria was the last person on my mind. There was simply no reason to blame him, and so, it came as a great surprise to everyone when, at the next gathering, he stepped forward, not with our inventions, but with modified fascimiles. He claimed to have made them himself, but we all knew the truth. He was the thief, the bandit who deprived us of sleepless nights, of glory, of satisfaction. We attempted to invoke justice, but to no avail.
Ever since then, I have had a vendetta against that blasted [devil]. I don't know where my friend went, but he is certainly not that crude mimic that calls himself by the same name. No, my friend would never kidnap me, never steal my inventions, NEVER TRY AND DEMOLISH MY PLANET, MY HOME---'
