PERSONAL HISTORY Like all children, Aeska T'Farcou was born with enthusiasm for life. He was born the son of a prominent leader within his community, and the sibling of a little brother and sister. They laughed and played, they sparred and studied. He was a beloved member T'Farcrou family. However, ignorance is a deadly toxin. He was trained early in his life to utilize his inbred abilities to their maximum potential and taught how to lead a tribe by his father and chieftain, Taltokn. It was a lot to handle, but Aeska was strong enough to endure. And though he was a prodigy, he seldom felt self-accomplishment. "I know you can do better", they might say, and "do it until you get it right". Scarcely did Aeska receive praise and, each time he was robbed of that, the more he acted out in order to receive that praise. He worked hard and did well, and although his parents were proud, he never got that "good job, Aeska. That's my boy". And he never would. It was never about controlling the tribe — only about a son yearning for his father's attention, even if it was negative attention. He became insecure, watching his father interact so fondly with his younger siblings. He was desperate and he was obsessive. "Why don't I deserve it?" He became tired. Into late-adolescence, Aeska's behavior escalated from childish teasing and bullying to committing assault. The moment his opponent had enough and punched Aeska in the nose, throwing him for a loop, he made a startling and haunting revelation. Battling was always a thrill, but what pleasure he felt; a shattered nose resulted in a smile the devil himself couldn't top. Engaging in brawls became a regular occurrence, including inflicting severe injury upon individuals, to outright causing their deaths. Incredibly passionate about the deadly dance, it becomes truly fearsome to face an opponent who delights in harming their foe just as much as their foe harming them. Aeska, although he lives and travels alone, always seeks out the company of others. He is dependent upon others to receive some self-satisfaction and immediately withdraws from his loneliness-induced depression and beams with joy. He is genuine to make your acquaintance, though it may lead down an unfortunate path due to his manipulative behavior. The human mind is an interesting web, and he enjoys sticking his fingers into the brain of any individual and tinkering around to see what happens. Not even family is spared from his experimenting. Younger brother Tinmeroshin, a boy who looks up to his eldest brother, is fed that he isn't strong and needs brother's protection. After wiping out the child's confidence, Aeska can try to ensure that Tinmeroshin will be one individual who will look up to him. He is brave enough to confront anyone at any expense, not but dumb enough to dive into a situation without a gameplan. He wants to show you up. Though whether he sticks to the plan or not is another matter entirely, as he is fickle as he is excitable. Something precious can easily become replaced or forgotten with time, as well as it is easy for him to get caught up in the moment and rely on potentially malicious impulse. In short, instability is his friend. Although easily riled up with anticipation, joy and excitement, he is not easily angered. New things can be interesting and fun, and Aeska would be willing to give it a good try. He is flexible and explorative and very interested in people — sometimes even cooperating to achieve a common goal on rare occasions where it seems valuable to him. Responsibility can easily go out the window though, especially after his interest is depleted. Aeska is always prepared to dish out compliments and praise to people, despite his having not been given any in the past. People deserve it, and he knows that better than anyone. Because he does like people, he is quite interested in how they work, though perhaps only because he may believe it to help him to better understand himself. He is quick to make comparisons, those in-favor and against himself in order to learn. However, no amount of his knowledge will help him while he is under the grip of dangerously volatile impulse. He never further matured. Life is a game of checkers, and he wants nothing more but to play the game and end up king'd. His desire for pleasure is his prerogative, regardless of the cost. It's his time now. His family never knew until it was too late — perhaps they even avoided considering that their son was ill. Aeska has been diagnosed as having Borderline Personality Disorder as well as being sadomasochistic. His receiving the sensation of pleasure instead of pain is the result of a congenital insensitivity to pain, which leads him to confuse sensations. If his family had only accepted there was a problem and attempted to reach out, Aeska may have been allowed to live a different life. SPECIES & ETHNICITY Dire Dog legend rumors that their species was molded into being by an ancient illustrious deity. In the gruesome time of war, they were designed to become both guardian and friend to the human race; the dog. They were blessed with supernatural abilities and strength in order to track and vanquish the rampaging demons that invaded their world. In time, the humans and their dogs were victorious. Without an opponent to fight, the dogs would soon retire and, after generations, their abilities were all but lost in exchange for a comfortable life with their best friends. However, this resolution was not met with all of the dogs. A population of their ancestors were discarded to a lonely island away from the human race and not knowing of their victory in war. These dogs became somewhat feral and constructed societies of their own in order to survive, but most were segregated into territories; the northern, western, central, and southern breeds, each with characteristics developed to survive their environment. In time even the pups were taught from an early age to harness the ability to transform into humanoid forms in order to compose such necessities as written language and other minor technologies. There were often disputes, which lead them to remain quite powerful. After generations of no human contact, most have all but lost their desire for it when their island, dubbed Darima, was discovered. However this also leads them without resolution and in a constant state of preparedness for war. Dire dogs are known to control their aura into unique abilities using ancient Aspect training. However, they also have the powerful human quality of adaptation, but brought down to a genetic level. When undergoing an immense stress, either emotional or physical which puts the life of the individual in danger, they may undergo permanent physical transmogrification in order to secure their survival. It may take thousands of years for an animal to evolve to adapt to a changing environment, but a Dire dog may do it immediately if the conditions are met. It is rumored, however, that your aura potential is diminished the more you undergo these drastic, incurable, physiological changes. |
