| Name: Draik Age: ? Sex: Female Gender: Gender Neutral Species: Dragon Orientation: ? Occupation: Assigned |
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Draik has dark grey/black scales and a large scale platted underside that is teal and runs roughly from their jaw underside to their tail "fan". Draik's bat-like wings are of the same teal colour, and their claws and horns are a shade of red. Draik's horns are slightly curled and they have 3 "fins" on each side of their head. These fins are not connected by a membrane, and they can be moved to be expressive. Draik also has green eyes and a long snout that ends similarly to the shape of a beak. Their tail "fan" consists of 7 thin parallelogram-shaped modified scales. The largest red one is at the tip of their scale, with 3 on each side of their tail. The colours are teal -> yellow -> orange -> red (at tip) with the teal sections facing backwards. All sections are flexible and can be fanned out or "tucked" in. Their tail is mostly used for flight balance or helping in changing direction, but the "fan" sections are sharp so they can be used as a weapon. Tail "fin" visual reference.

PERSONAL HISTORY/OCCUPATION EXPLANATION Changes depending on rp. Across all of the universe's there are many individual beings or creatures who would be referred to as anomalies. Their actions either affect the lives of many, are critical to something, distort time or space, or they have too many "paths" branched out in their timelines. Some higher beings decided that, to maintain a sense of balance, the anomaly individuals had to be monitored and "gently guided". They gathered a variety of creatures and beings and gave them the title of Assigned, entrusting them to monitor the lives of an one anomaly each. Each Assigned is given a shard to be worn that connects them to the timeline's of their respective anomaly only, where they can watch and enter the timeline's or paths. They are able to have influence or do modifications, but they are under extremely strict rules with what they can affect and how they can go about doing so. (A path would be considered an action or decision that has an affect with weight or result.) With minimal effect they can completely erase the paths that they create when entering a timeline; this is often used for gathering information into how they can do their tasks. If they allow a path to exist, they must be very careful to not start chain reactions between events and they must monitor how the new path plays out. In all circumstances they cannot let their respective anomaly know of their existence, but they can reveal themselves to others (these paths must then be erased, but it is handy for gathering knowledge.) In paths that are allowed to exist, they cannot let anyone know of their presence in it. The Assigned can only directly view and affect their own anomaly, so it is not uncommon for them to coordinate and help each other when two anomalies are involved together. To try to explain better, here's an example. Person A shoots person B, where person B is an anomaly with an Assigned and person A is not. Assuming the Assigned's task would be to create an additional path where person B is not shot, they would have to find a way to do this without person B knowing about them. There are many potential options: They could enter the timeline and investigate/ask to find A's motives and find something to interrupt them - though this path would have to be erased. They could also experiment with ways to get B's decisions to change leading up to the event so that something different happens - they could not let anyone see/know about them if they wanted to make it a legitimate path without having to erase it. It is important to once again note that they can only directly affect their anomaly. They would not be able to modify A's paths/actions in any way, unless if A was an anomaly with their own Assigned (then the other would have to do it). These restrictions to protect and minimize impact can lead to some paths simply being unpreventable, or making alterations only possible in very roundabout and odd ways. For unknown reasons, Draik was recruited early on into being an Assigned and was pulled into the realm while they were trained for the job. They monitored over a particular anomaly and became too personally invested in the job and case. This lead to some desperate measures being taken when trying to make a necessary legitimate path, which resulted in their and their anomaly's lives being at risk and Draik being forced to bring them both into the realm and out of the anomaly's timeline. (Guess who their anomaly is, I dare you.)
Abilities It's a bit unclear on which abilities are Draik's solely and which are from the shard, and these would vary to some degree based on the rp they are in and the modifying or completely different back story I would have to do. It is safe to say though that abilities dealing with entering timelines/paths and viewing things within them would be the product of the shard. Draik themselves is studying variations of fire magic, with a strong interest in protection spells - namely force fields. They are able to conjure a variety of force fields, with different effects and ranges, in addition to being able to breathe fire and use some minor fire magic. Range, size, and subject's possible of her abilities heavily depends on the respective rp. |
Recent/Older/Outdated Artwork:
Some details may be changed in Draik's design compared to past work.
Also some of these are really old pieces, so bear with me please. Further down=older piece.
