PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Open:// Standard Chassis Configuration and Specs; Standard Weight is 200 kg, chassis can be made from lighter aluminum, stainless steel, carbon fiber, or fiber glass and aluminum together. Standard height is 6' from the top of the head to the toe, and is perfectly symmetrical within small error boundaries. The machine will arrive with a full helmet configuration that allows easy access to mic ports and to hide the wire configuration at the back of the head, it has been found that psychologically the exposure of the "brain" of the machine tends to disturb some users. The helmet assembly can be easily removed for maintenance of the machine.
The unit is not shipped with clothing, and must be provided by the customer upon receiving the device; under robotics law it is illegal to put artificial humanoids into hazardous situations unjustly, if the chassis is damaged or breached the warranty is voided.
PERSONALITY
Conforming to Robotic's law Septimus will not put himself in a harmful situation, he will not confront human employees on an order if it does not put him in undue risk and he will never hurt or harm a human being, regardless of the other two laws. He has shown consistent operation without any defect and is well accepted by the company as a whole along with his direct IT coworkers.
PERSONAL HISTORY Over the course of this run there have been several setbacks, one being that the main CPU components were impossible to cool within the smaller head unit and had to be left exposed for better cooling. This did result in the "brain" of the machine being within the sight of users, and this showed a spike in complaints of discomfort around the machines. The solution was a lightweight helmet assembly hiding the disturbing connections and offering further customization of the machine for the environment along with keeping the components cooled. The standard chassis is the most inexpensive and currently the most purchased. Though other chassis such as a feminized variant, a less bulky, and a more advanced polymer blend with extra third party support ports are available to the public. The most popular add-ons for the machines are genitals, enhanced dexterity fingers, and extra sensitive "skin" coverings. The most popular Personality types are the introvert, extra friendly, extra quiet, silent, and customer service. The work place can request special personality types to match it's employees over all psych and personality profiles better, which in turn may increase interactivity with the machine, this resulting in better productivity. As well as being the currently most advanced robotic system it is also the most widely used and available machine. An extended production run meant a greater access to this one of a kind tool for the work place. The stability of the system has attracted many users in the personal market to take notice. Septimus in particular has been affectionately renamed to Sept, or Septi by coworkers along with other affectionate nicknames including Seven, or S. Those employees in the electronic world of work seem particularly happy to work with machines, and have accepted the unit into their midst with little uncertainty. As of this file notable marks in efficiency of the office have been documented and over all productivity has increased. The unit is well cared for and maintained as well as clothed in accordance to robotics laws, and the robot has not been subjected to harsh or overly hazardous work environments. Currently the unit is operating at 98.7% efficiency and once the machine is more well established within it's tasks that is expected to increase. Overall this is a pleasing trend towards easy acceptance of artificial intelligences within traditionally human workforces. Effective and swift mechanical precision coupled with human ingenuity is proving to be an unmatched team. |
